Flower Mound’s Rachel Spicer of Texas Dreams Gymnastics at EveryBody Fits recently finished fourth in the Level 10 Junior A division with an all-around score of 37.475 at the U.S. Junior Olympics Championship in Florida.

Before Thursday’s final round of the Junior Florida Cup at Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club, the South players smeared war paint on their faces (baby blue and red to match their shirts), and they tried as much as possible to psych themselves up to beat the North.

A meeting was held to discuss proposed changes for one Alabama school. People in Steele are at odds with St. Clair County school board members over the status of the gym at Steele Junior High School. District officials closed the gym last week because they say it’s unsafe and now students are without a place to play sports.
